Competitive Age Determination (R & P page 20)
The age of the gymnast is determined by the last day of culminating
meet for the level.
In the case of Compulsories and Levels 7, 9 and 10, it would be the State Meets.
For Level 8, age is determined by the Regional Meet.
Level 7 age as of Mar. 18, 2007
Level 8 age as of Apr. 15, 2007
Level 9 age as of Mar. 31, 2007
Level 10 age as of Mar. 31, 2007
Note: These dates determine which competitive age group your athlete should
compete in for the entire competitive season.
Dropping Back Through the Levels (See page 21 of the
R & P)
Once an athlete has competed in the State Championships, she is not allowed to drop back with out a valid reason which would be submitted to the State Administrative Committee Chairman for Level 7 and below or the Regional Technical Chairman for Levels 8, 9 & 10.
For the State of Colorado, an athlete may not Drop Back a level if she has achieved the qualifying score for the State Championships for her level without a valid reason which would need to be submitted to the State Administrative Committee Chairman.
